Konami Plans Post-TGS 2025 Survey to Let Fans Choose the Next Metal Gear Solid Remake
Konami will launch a post-TGS 2025 survey asking fans which Metal Gear Solid entry should be remade next, signaling more classic stealth-action revivals after MGS Delta: Snake Eater.

Konami isn’t slowing down after Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. Following Tokyo Game Show 2025, the publisher is preparing to launch a new survey asking fans which entry in the Metal Gear Solid series they’d like to see remade next.
This move signals that Konami is serious about bringing more of Hideo Kojima’s legendary stealth-action franchise into the modern era. With MGS Delta set to reintroduce Snake Eater to a new generation with overhauled visuals and quality-of-life upgrades, the survey suggests the company wants to keep the momentum going—but with direct input from the community.
While no official options have been revealed yet, speculation is already running wild. Many fans are hoping for a remake of Metal Gear Solid (1998), which kicked off the series on the original PlayStation, while others would love to see Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots finally freed from its PlayStation 3 exclusivity. Entries like MGS 2: Sons of Liberty and MGS: Peace Walker are also in the conversation, each with its own dedicated fanbase.
This survey could also serve as a litmus test for how much demand exists for full-scale remakes versus modern remasters. With the success of Resident Evil remakes showing the appetite for updated classics, Konami seems eager to ensure their next step is aligned with what fans actually want.
No launch date for the survey has been shared yet, but Konami confirmed it will go live shortly after TGS 2025 wraps up. Until then, fans can continue speculating—and perhaps debating—which chapter of Snake’s saga deserves the modern treatment first.
